In Good Company
Three of my essays on Stablecoins and Bitcoin appear in the new edition of Capitalism Magazine - alongside George Reisman, Yaron Brook, John Stossel, Jeffery Tucker, Ray Niles, and others
Three of my recent essays have been picked up by Capitalism Magazine for its latest edition. All three deal with Bitcoin and stablecoins — what they are, what the new regulatory architecture will do to them, and what they mean for anyone who cares about sound money.
A magazine called Capitalism is the right place to argue about money creation and its consequences. Who issues money, on what terms, and under whose authority is one of the oldest questions in political economy, and it is being decided again right now by people who mostly haven’t framed it that way.
Which brings me to the editor of Capitalism Magazine, Mark Da Cunha. Anyone can aggregate. What Mark does is harder and less visible: he reads widely, selects with a point of view, and builds editions that hang together as arguments rather than as piles. In an era when most of what reaches us has been sorted by an algorithm or machine optimizing for engagement, an editor with actual judgment is scarce and undervalued. Mark is also, in my experience, a careful and generous editor of the work itself.
I’m honored to share this edition with writers I’ve learned from for years: George Reisman, Yaron Brook, John Stossel, Jeffrey Tucker, Ray Niles, and others. That’s not something I take lightly.
If you aren’t already reading Capitalism Magazine, you should be — and it’s free. Serious writing on economics, philosophy, and politics from people who take ideas seriously and aren’t writing to please anyone’s algorithm.
My thanks to Mark for running the pieces, and for the work he’s been doing for a long time with very little fanfare.
